Notes
a. Note:   The 1910 Noble Co., Ohio census shows that her father was born in Ireland, and her mother was born in England. According to the 1910 Marion Township, Noble Co., Ohio census, she was the mother of six children, only four of whom were living in 1910.
There is a Franklin family shown in the 1860 Noble Co., Ohio census that I believe are the parents of Roseanne. The father was born in Ireland, and the mother was born in England. The census information follows:
1860 Marion Township, Noble Co., Ohio, Post Office Whigville, Ohio, Dwelling No. 1256, Page No. 169 -- 10 July 1860 Abe Franklin, age 63, farmer, born in Ireland Mary " , age 63, domestic, born in England Elizabeth " , age 25, domestic, born in Ohio John " , age 23, farmer, born in Ohio
The 1880 Noble Co., Ohio census shows the following information for John A. Franklin. Marion Township, Noble Co., Ohio, Page No. 27, Supervisor's Dist. No. 7, Enumeration Dist. No. 193, Dwelling No. 243 -- 25 June 1880 Franklin, John A. , age 43, farmer Matilda, age 36, keeping house, born in Ohio. Her parents were also born in Ohio Mary R., age 17 Maggie L., age 15 William N., age 11 Elizabeth R., age 8 Violet A., age 6 John M., age 4 Wilbert D., age 2 All of the children were born in Ohio. Also, the next dwelling, dwelling no. 244, shows the following information: Jane E. Franklin, age 54 John Franklin, age 88, born in Ireland
Elizabeth Franklin is shown on the 1900 Noble Co., Ohio Census. She was born November 1829 in Ohio. It shows that her father was born in Ireland, and her mother was born in England. See Marion Township, Noble Co., Ohio, Supervisor's Dist. No. 14, Enumeration Dist. No. 92, Sheet No. 8 A, Dwelling No. 156. Also shown in this household is her niece, Mary, born November 1862. This is probably the Mary R., age 17 shown in the 1880 census.
