Note: Source: Pleasant Hill Historical Society, news article dated April 10, 1942 Mrs. Browne Edelen's Mother Dies Browne Y. Edelen and son, Eugene, left Tuesday for Medicine Lodge, Kas., to join Mrs. Edelen, who was called there a week ago by reason of the serious illness of her mother, Mrs. Stella Youmans. Mrs. Youmans, who had visited Mrs. Edelen here many times, died on Tuesday. She had suffered a stroke and never regained consciousness. Mrs. Edelen was the only child. -- Warrensburg Star-Journal
