  The 1860 Marion Co., Kentucky census shows his age as 57, born in Kentucky. It also shows the value of his real estate owned as $8,000 and the value of his personal estate as $5,500.
  Crolian William Edelen and Nancy Leake Flack research shows that Leonard Edelen died in Lebanon, Marion Co., Kentucky.
  According to Charmaine Goemmer Welker, Leonard's full name may have been George Leonard Edelen. She also shows that he was born about 1800 in Marion County, Kentucky.
  The Marion County Kentucky - Various Cemeteries, Volume V, source shows his date of death as April 16, 1865. This is in disagreement with The Snatches of O'Daniel, and History or Cass County sources.
  His grave marker shows his date of death as 16 April 1865.
  The Edelen Genealogy file source shows that Leonard was born 1800 in Marion County Kentucky; died April 14, 1865 in Lebanon, Marion Co., Kentucky.
  The Lewis Edelen Garrison source shows that he is buried at the Edelen plot, Ryder Cemetery, Lebanon, Marion Co, Kentucky.
