WICHITA FALLS - R.D. Bookout died March 17 [1992], in is home. A native of Seymour, but spent most of his life in Wichita Falls. He was a World War II Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, including his identical brother. Survivors include his wife; three sons; three sisters including Marie Post of Borger; and Jerry Tisdale of Fritch. Lunn Funeral Directors of Wichita Falls. The Borger News Herald, March 18, 1992.
Roy Dean Bookout. 65, died Turesday [March 17, 1992] at his home in Wichita Falls. Burial in Crestview Memorial Park. Lunn’s Colonial Funeral Home. Mr. Bookout was born April 25, 1926, in Seymour TX, and was a lifetime resident of the Wichita Falls area. He retired from Meads Fine Bakery in 1980, serving 35 years, and from Wonder Bread in 1991. He was a member of Lamar Baptist Church. He and Beatrice M. England were married Aug. 12, 1950 in Burkburnett. Survivors include his wife; a daughterm Sheryl of Wichita Falls; three sons, Roy, Jr. of Arlington TX, Pjillip A. of Dallas and Randel J. of Fort Worth; three sisters, Marie Post and Jerry Tisdale, both of Borger TX, and Mildred Maggart of Cortez CO; and three brothers, Cecil of El Paso, Kenneth of Quannah TX, and Jackie of Burkburnett.
