Note: N476 Manuel J. Sporn of Hilton Head Island SC, passed away on Sept. 16, 2010. He was 83. He was born in New York City on June 19, 1927, the son of Harry Sporn and Violet England Sporn. He was a graduate of The College of Insurance (St. John's University) in NYC and spent 42 years in the Insurance Brokerage business, retiring as senior vice president of Johnson & Higgins (now Marsh & McLennan). He moved to Hilton Head in April of 2000 from Washington Crossing PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, William Cole, and his first wife, Arlene Woodhouse Sporn, who passed away in 1976. Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and William Fedorko of Sun City; his second wife of 33 years, Harriet Benson Sporn; his three sons, Clifford (Janice), Matthew (Mary Jane) and Peter (Patricia); nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Burial Office at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, Mount Holly. Interment in St. Andrew's Graveyard. Perinchief Chapels, Mount Holly. The Burlington County Times, October 5, 2010.
