Marthe Jayne “Marty” England Ferguson passed from her earthly home on September 20, 2017 after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Marty was born May 24, 1949, in Eunice LA, to Billie and Loyce England. She attended Alex and Chickasha Public Schools. On November 19, 1965, she married Lyndel Grant Ferguson in Chickasha OK. The couple have two sons; Ernest Ferguson and Nickolas Ferguson. Lyn worked for Halliburton for 42 years before retiring 2005. Throughout his career they lived in Davis, Duncan, Houston, and Pottsboro. Just recently they had moved to Burleson to be near their son, Nick and his family. Marty worked for the Haggar Slacks Company in Duncan. Always the artist, she went on to own her own ceramic studio, teaching classes. She was also an ambassador for Duncan Enterprises teaching classes at retreats and conferences for many years. Marty’s favorite time of year was the holidays. She loved decorating their home, shopping for gifts, and cooking extravagant feasts for her family. Marty was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bill England, and her sister, Trudy Allen. Survivors include her husband, Lyn, of the home; her sons, Ernest Ferguson and wife Mary, of Littleton CO, and Nickolas Ferguson and wife Allison, of Burleson TX; and her five grandchildren, Brian Van Dusen, Gregory Ferguson, Joseph Ferguson, Alexander Ferguson, and Payten Hope Ferguson.
