  Manchester MI - Marie Gilbert, Age 89, passed away December 10, 2003 at Chelsea Retirement Community. Marie was born on March 6, 1914 in Bluffton IN, the daughter of Guy Truman and Rosa M. (Speece) England. She married Harley Gilbert on January 2, 1939 in Angola, IN and he preceded her in death in 1990. Mrs. Gilbert resided in the Manchester community for 68 years and was a member of the Manchester United Methodist Church, life member of OES, and a member of the Willow Circle. Marie is survived by her children: Nondus (Carl) Buss of Manchester, Guy Gilbert of Manchester, Karen (Kenneth) Vanderbosch of Grass Lake, Donna (Joseph Jr.) Nagel of Orland Park IL, Mary (John Gilmore) Gilbert of Laguna Beach CA; grandchildren: Elaine (Bill) Wilmarth of MO, Carol (Dennis) Durnwald of OH, Darlene (Randy) Chesney of Grass Lake, Jeffrey (Melissa) Fuller of Kalamazoo, Nathan (Tish) Gilbert of Garden City, Jacob Gilbert of Belleville, Joseph and Jim Nagel of IL; step-grandchildren: Kathy (Mike) Kulchinski of Vandercook Lake, Scott Vanderbosch of Vandercook Lake; nine great- grandchildren; two step-great- grandchildren; two brothers: Delmar (Francis) England of TX; G.T. England of TX; three sisters: Bobby Kemp of OK; Beatrice (Ellis) Graig of OK; Naomi Johnson of NM, sister- in-laws: Gertrude (Bill) Schuch of Adrian; Olive Cook of Adrian and Shirley (Don) Quick of IN; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Marie was preceded in death by her daughter Wanda in 1943; her parents; three brothers (including Ralph England) and three sisters. A Celebration of Marie's life will be held at the Manchester United Methodist Church. Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Jenter Chapel. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery.
