Note: N342 Lois J. McCoy, 83, formerly of 1515 W. High St., Piqua, died October 4, 2008, at Heartland of Greenville. She was born September 10, 1925, in Bluffton IN, to the late George and Leulah (Cunningham) England. She married Charles Chenoweth in 1944; he preceded her in death in 1950. She then married Donald D. McCoy on March 8, 1952 in Piqua; he preceded her in death on March 4, 1998. Mrs. McCoy is survived by three sons, Roger McCoy of Palatka FL, Donn (Kathy) McCoy of Piqua, and Steven (Nancy) Chenoweth of Puyallup WA; two daughters, Shirley (Richard) Dearing of Arcanum, and Jan (Richard) Mathis of Camden; a daughter-in-law, Kim McCoy of Ithaca; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, George (Mary Jo) England of Fort Wayne IN, and Paul (Nancy) England of South Vienna; four sisters, Ruth (Jim) Thompson of Harlan IN, Naomi (Buck) White of Fort Wayne IN, Hope (Bob) Christy of Piqua, and Becky (Bill) Moore of Butler IN; and a brother-in-law, Jim Watson of Ossian, Ind. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard McCoy; a sister, Roberta Watson; a grandson; and two great-grandsons. Mrs. McCoy was a 1943 graduate of Central High School in Fort Wayne and was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Church of God, Piqua, where she was active in the ladies groups. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and had been a volunteer at the YWCA of Piqua. She enjoyed collecting dolls and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
