Johnie was 19 when his father, Henry Maben burned to death in Wichita Falls TX.
Johnie was a oil field steel tank construction worker during WWII. The family lived in several locations all over TX until his younger children started to school. He then returned to Burkburnett TX and worked as a welder, a clerk for Texas Electric Company and as a butcher for the City Market. The family moved to Tulsa OK in 1951 and he worked as a carpenter until retiring.
Johnie and Mildred retired and moved to Duncan OK and lived in a home purchased by their children until their deaths. They are both buried in Duncan.
