Note: Married as Alfred T. Donnat OBIt ALFRED T. DONAT Alfred Donat was born Sept. 5, 1896 in Minnesota. He came to Webster with his parents in 1900. He went to Glasgow, Mont., in 1916 and was married to Mabel Cowan, Jan. 21, 1920. They lived there until 1942, then moved to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where he resided until his death. He was a veteral of World War I and a member of the VFW. He entered the hospital and was operated for a bowel infrection from which he never recovered. He passed away at the age of 62 years, 5 months and 4 days. Survivors are two sons: Clarence of Coeur d'Alene, Ida., and Ralph of Post Falls, Ida; a daughter, Mrs. Stanley Jenks, Helena, Montana; and 10 grandchildren; also six brothers, Lawrence, Herman and George of Webster, Richard of Montevideo, Minn,; Arthur of Kure Beach, So. Car., and Ralph of Auburn, Wash., and four sisters, Mrs. Loyal Fisheslyn and Mrs. Joseph Johnson of Webster and Mrs. Melvin Stavig, Roslyn and Mrs. Philip Pies of Waubay. He was preceded in death by his wife on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1958, his parents and one brother, Otto. He was given a miltary funeral Mon., Feb. 2, and was buried beside his wife in the Restlawn Memorial Park in Coeur d'Alene. Lawrence Donat and Mrs. Melvin Stavig returned to Webster Friday after attending the funeral. WIFE'S DEATH FOLLOWED BY HUSBAND'S Death visited a former Glasgow family twice within a month's time, it was noted here in the news last wek of the death of Alfred T. Donat on Friday in coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Mrs. Donat died on Christmas day in Coeur d'Alene after a brielf illness. Donat, about 65, was an employee here many years ago for Markles. They moved to Idaho 16 years ago. He had been in poor health for several years. Survivors include two sons; Ralph of Post Falls, Clarence of Coeur d'Alene and one daughter Mrs. Stanley Jenks of Helena. Funeral services were scheduled Monday in Coeur d'Alene. ALFRED DONAT, 62, IS TAKEN BY DEATH Alfred Donat, 62, who lived at 3015 N. Fourth St. died last night at a local hospital. A native of Minnesota, he came here 16 years ago and formerly was employed by Ohio Match Co. Donat was a veteran of World War I, a member of the Lutheran church, the Eagles and the V. F. W. His wife, Mabel, died here Christmas day. Survivors are two sons, Clarence Donat, Coeur d'Alene, and Ralph Donat, Post Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Stanley Jenks, Helena, Mont; five brothers, Lawrence, Herman and Richard , Webster, S.D., Ralph, Auburn, Wash,. and Authur in North Carolina; four sisters, Mrs. Phillip Pease, Waubey, S. D., Mrs. Goldie Fisher, Mrs. Sylvia Johnson, and Mrs. Edna Johnson, Webster, S. D.
