  OBIT MRS. LENA DONAT CALLED BY DEATH Mrs. Lena Donat, long resident at 3:30pm Monday, at her home of her son Herman Donat, living west of Webster. She had been in failing health for some time and was confined to her bed for the past two months. She was aged 68 years, 5 months and 7 days at the time of her death. Funeral services were held this Thursday afternoon at one o'clock at the home and 1:30 at the American Lutheran church, Rev. E. E. Bostrom officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet consisting of Gladys and Edythe Johnson, Wilmer and Elmer Johnson. Burial was made at Webster cemetery beside her husband who passed away Jan. 1, 1926. Pallbearers were six sons, Otto, Alfred, George, Richard, Lawrence and Herman Donat. She leaves 12 children; Otto, Herman, Richard, George and Lawrence all of Webster; Alfred of Glasgow, Mont.; Ralph of Auburn, Wash; Arthur of Kire Beach, North Carolina; Mrs. Loyal Fisher and Mrs. Joseph Johnson of Webster; Mrs. Melvin Stavig of Roslyn and Mrs. Phillip Pies of Waubay. She also leaves 31 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Albert Buss in Wisconsin. Lena Dorothea Deutschman was born March 30, 1874 in castor, Russia, of German parents. At the age of five years, she came with her parents to the United States and settled in Cottonwood County, Minn, where she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage July 7, 1894 to Wenzel Donat. They made their home in Minnesota for six years, then came in 1900 to Day County, South Dakota, to North Webster vicinity where they made their home until 1926 when Mr. Donat passed away. She was a member of the Ladies Aid of the former St. Paul Lutheran church, later merged with the American Lutheran Church.
