Note: Bruce Lenox, His mother was a full-blooded American Indian of the Quapaw Tribe, the last of the American Indian cannibalistic tribes. He married Lizzie Grant, the daughter of Irish immigrants who settled in Arkansas in a small countrytown known as Old Austin. Old Austin was not far from Little Rock, and at one time it had been the capital of Arkansas. When Lizzie and Bruce were married, they moved to North Little Rock, Arkansas, where Bruce worked for the railroad company until he was injured in a fall between two switching trains. One of his legs was permanently crippled in that accident. They moved to Ward Arkansas, to a farm which they worked for the remainder of their lives.
