Brother Joseph Clay Watson By the authority of the Holy Melchezidek Priesthood, I place my hands upon your head and bestow upon you a Patriarchal Blessing. Brother Watson, your spirit dwelt in the presence of Heavenly Father before the dawn of the first day of the planet earth. You rejoiced as one of the Sons of God, knowing that this planet would become your eternal home. You knew then that the earth would reach the state of perfection, and the righteous would dwell upon it forever. You felt that you could best serve the Lord in the flesh after the restoration of His church in the latter day. When you heard the true teachings of the gospel of Christ had a familiar spirit. These reflections were not foreign to you for these doctrines were know to you while yet in the spirit in your pre-mortal life. It was easy for you to accept these truths as they were taught to you in the flesh. You knew that Satan would be upon the earth, will all manner of deception to you, and all others who would serve the Master. You knew that many would be led astray. You were born to the earth through goodly parentage, some of whom helped pave the way for the restoration of the true gospel through their beliefs, and the free agency to act in the rights of choice. You have traits from them which you must never reject, these being open minded ness to the truth and the right to serve. You must study the scriptures and pray over their meaning and you will be blessed with the wisdom you desire. The Holy Ghost has been conferred upon you. He will assist you and sustain you in your good works as you progress in knowledge. I declare upon your lineage of the ages through Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, through Ephraim of the House of Israel. You bear the Holy Priesthood of God. You must honor this above all else, for it is stronger than the cords of death. Through righteous use of the powers of Priesthood, you will be able to bless people, those who are ill mentally and physically. You will see people rise from their beds of affliction and made whole again because of your faith. You can achieve many good works in the span of your life as you give of your time and talents. You will serve in many positions in priesthood authority. You will magnify these calls as you lose yourself in your good works, and you will be blessed for so doing. You will always be glad that you accepted the church. Make every effort now to prepare to go to the House of the Lord. Set this as a goal and work toward its realization. You will catch greater dimensions of the love of Christ. Your testimony will never wane or grow weak. You will be able to reach your posterity with the gospel truths, and they will desire to be with you forever. Heavenly Father will bless you as you teach and instruct others. You will be called into positions of trust. You will preside and do so in love toward those in your charge, and you will be magnified in the eyes of those who know you. You will ever be learning and rising to new summits, and viewing greater horizons. You must hold fast to the iron rod of Jacob. It will guide you through the veil of tears. Satan will try to deceive you. You can reject him by Priesthood authority in the name of the Savior. You can walk uprightly before man and God, with your eye ever upward, and be grateful for your life upon the earth. You will perform ordinances for your parentage in the temple of the Lord. You will see that their names are presented for the most important labor of love. People will seek you for your wisdom as you share it unto others. You will be heir to all the blessings of the righteous.
