a. Note:   f William H. S. Flack has been found for this couple. Syman seems to be supported by the appearance of Simm(?) H. Flack in the 1900 census for Greenbrier County, WV. He has a wife L. A., and living with him is Isaac Alvis, given as his brother-in-law. That L. A. is Leanna, and Isaac actually Isaiah seems most probable. Although, there are date conflicts in these records.
