a. Continued:   Charley James was a rather short, dark complexioned man but stout also. He was a very religious man and a great man. We spent a lot of time with my grandparents when I was growing up. I remember plenty of great times with him and still miss him very much. He worked in the coal mines part of his life, farmed also, and when he retired he worked part time at a grocery store cleaning at night. He and my grandmother raised 10 children and they did a great job of it.
