Note: ased three sections of land from the federal government's Chickasaw land sale in what is now Tippah County, Mississippi. His children were born in Mississippi. He is listed in the 1840 and 1850 Tippah County, Mississippi census. A deed which was the subject of later post civil war litigation in the Chancery Court of Tippah County is headed with a McNairy County, Tennessee location. The 1860 census finds the family split up with my ggggrandfather Andrew Thomas heading his own family.
