Note: Because her father married for the second time in 1909, it is believed Lillie's mother most likely died. The facts of her age, or where she died remain unknown at this time (July 12, 1999). All that is known is her name and that she was from Arkansas. found on 1910 Census with father, Will KERLEY, brothers Raymond and Mont, step mother Belle T. Current River Township, Randolph County, Arkansas, 3 Feb 1920 Shaver Eddy Road Fm. 68 71 Lillie, daughter-in-law, female, white, 19 years, married, didn't attend school since Sept 1, 1919, can read and write, born in Arkansas, father born in Arkansas, mother born in Arkansas Lillie's death: Lillie died in Missouri. According to her daughter, Darlene Sullivan Cobb, Lillie fell ill to an unknown illness. The doctor was called, but Lillie died before the doctor could get there. In those days, the doctor came by wagon, and in this case, did not arrive in time to either diagnose or treat her illness. Lillie was taken back to Arkansas, which was just across the state line, to be buried with her family. As of yet, it is not determined where she is buried. Since her brothers are buried in Johnson/Johnston Cemetery, Reyno, Randolph County, Arkansas, that is a possibility. Also, she might be buried in a family plot on the family farm owned by her father. After Lillie's death, Will A. Kerley, her father, wanted to take her children to raise. Her husband, James B. Sullivan, refused. Instead, they moved westward. At one point they were in Oklahoma. Jim's sister Edith lived in Ft. Gibson, and it may have been there. Since Jim's sister Minnie also had two young children and didn't have a husband to take care of them, they agreed that Minnie would take care of the children while Jim made a living to take care of them all. Neither Jim or the children went back to Arkansas. Edith kept in contact with the Kerley family, though. Also Darlene remembers Lillie's brother Mont coming to visit them in Oklahoma.
