Note: Temple Card 90 in Schick file 17 Feb 1998 Received a copy of the 1870 census of McCloud Co. Minnesota and we might have a hit. The copy came from the Minnesota Genealogical Society of a request I made about 6-8 months ago. I saw this same page on a look-up I did at the FHC microfilm. Didn't pay too much attention because of the spelling. Anyhow we have a John M. about the same age. Father could be Jasper and Mother could be Lucy. Siblings of Florence (older) and Brice (younger). Problem is the spelling .......HEATEN. 2 Mar 1998 Went to FHC in Richland today. Found a Jasper HATTEN born abt. 1846 in ,,Wayne Co. Virginia. This would make him about 24 years old for the 1870 Census. That is what the census says. 30 Mar 1998 I have been conversing with a Glen Olsen, over the internet, the past couple of days and have received messages pertaining to John M. Hatton. There is a direct connection and he will be sending me family group sheets. He states that the surname has been used interchangeably with HattEN and HattON. His copy of the death cirtificate states that he was born 5 June 1866 where I had it as 1 January 1868.
