Note: who loved to talk and was proud of his vegetable garden. He never stopped smiling. There was no Social Security for these folks. They had to find a way to make do with the little they had. They had six children I knew of: My father Stanley was the oldest; Uncle John Kuskoski was born June 13, 1913 (d.3/24/70 in Elmora,Cambria Co., PA)married Bessie Shevock; Joseph Kuskoski born April 12, 1923 (d. April 6, 1981 in Elmora, Cambria Co., PA.),unmarried. The youngest was Alice Kuskosky (she changed the i to a y with my father) born: May 3, 1933 (only 5 years older than me)married Paul Belinsky no children; Aunt Helen Margaret Kuskoski was born September 24,1919 in Elmora, Cambria Co., PA (d. September 24,1919 in PA); Mary Kuskoski married Michael Zanchok, son Michael Jr. Three boys and three girls in all. My Aunt Alice accounted for 2 more who died in infancy. At this time I do not have a date of death for the last reamining member of the family: Alice Kuskosky Belinsky. Stanley, Joey, Johnny, Mary, Helen and Alice. My father was born in 1908 and the last born was my Aunt Alice born May 3, 1933 (25 years apart and a change of life baby. They spent some time in Buffalo, NY, but I have no recollection of that, other than the first cousin surname of Michalek. Walter and Mary Wicka Kuskoski braved the rough seas to give their children a new start in America.
Note: Crippled and bent over, using a cane, my grandfather was a disabled coal miner
