Notes
a. Note:   November 11, 1905 Death of Blanche McClellan Miss Blanche McClellan, daughter of Joseph and Martha McClellan of Eugene, died at her home Tuesday, at 7 PM, Nov. 7. She had been a patient sufferer for months. The disease of consumption had manifested itself a long time before, and it gradually came on with fatal consequences. The deceased was born August 28, 1883, and had only recently passed her 22nd birthday. But the unrelenting hand of the Grim Reaper makes no distinction in the age of his victims, nor considers the charms of life, or how dear it is to those who know the world as a place of beauty, and where only happiness dwells. She is survived by her father and mother, a twin sister, Bessie, and three brothers, Samuel, Benjamin, and Joseph. The former is now living at Danville, Ill. and the two latter at Eugene. The mother of the deceased girl is sister of James Malone of the place. Funeral services were conducted Thursday forenoon from the family residence at Eugene, and the body consigned to its final resting place in the cemetery near by.
