Notes
a. Note:   Ivy Lena was the eldest of nine children and the only daughter to survive infancy. She was eight years old when the family moved to Wolseley. At the age of thirteen she registered her brother Eric's birth and in 1902 (age 18), she registered the birth of Frederick Joseph, her youngest brother. Ivy Lena had a neat and controlled penmanship.
Ivy Lena appears to have been a small woman with fair hair and light coloured eyes (wedding photo of 1911). She was employed as a domestic, possibly by her mother, Selina, in her home at Kilkenny.
Ivy Lena's marriage to Frederick Lauder was officiated by the Rev. Louis Farr and witnessed by Frederick's younger brother Alexander, an Engineer of Sandwell and Mary Robertson, a Tailoress from Elsternwick, Victoria. Five months prior to Ivy Lena's marriage, her father Joseph past away.
After their marriage, Ivy Lena and Frederick lived at his home in Sandwell (now Birkenhead). Their first child, a daughter, Eileen Christina, was born in September 1912. A second daughter, Ivy was born prematurely in October 1915, she only lived for three days.
Ivy Lena had been suffering from chronic heart disease for about twelve months, she died six weeks after baby Ivy. Thomas Shanks officiated at Ivy Lena's funeral.
Ivy Lena and baby Ivy are buried together. When Frederick died in 1971 he was buried with them.
