a. Note:   Hugh Robertson was a soldier of the Revolution, being in the Continental Army, during the greater part of the war. He was under General Green in the battle of Guilford, and was at Yorktown and withnessed the surrender of Cornwallis.
  Hugh Robertson, Sergt. Continental line e years. For signal bravery in action was awarded a grant of 200 acres of land in Oarange Co, NC, Warrant #1749.
  Born in SC, emigrataed to Orange Co., NC and in 1798 to Wilson Co, Tenn. and 1804 to Nittany Valley, PA. where both he and his wife died.
