Note: George graduated from Bennett Medical College in 1906. He was a practicing doctor in Lincoln, Neb. from 1907 to around 1915 when they moved to Oregon, where he continued his practice. George, wife and son moved into Paisley about 1918 when Louis ws 4 or 4 1/2 years old. George had recovered completely, but wished to stay in the life saving area. He became the Paisley doctor during the great flu epidemic of 1919 or 1920. He had been a practicing doctor in Lincoln when he became ill. Now he applied for an Oregon license and remained the sole doctor of the area until 1942. He was forced to give up tht practice and went to visit his sister, also a doctor in Los Angeles, Calif. Dr. George Hanson had cancer of the bladder. He did not recover and passed away in LA on January 17, 1944. His widow, Flora went to Seattle to be with her son, Louis, for a while and then returned to Paisley in the summer of 1944 to live. She clerked in the General store owned by Bill Martin. The store was across the street near the garage. She worked for 3 years then returned to LA to look after her sister-in-law, Dr. Daisy. She remained there for 2 years. Then again came to visit son Lous in Seattle for a short time. She returned to Paisley to live. Nor sure of how many years, but in the early 50's she fell and broker her leg. She thencame to live with her son in Seattle. For several months later after he leg mended, she lived in an apartment nearby for 2 - 2 1/2 years. When her son and family moved to Medina (Bellevue, Wa.) she also moved into a small house near them where she lived until her death of 96 years. She was laid to rest by her husband in Grandview Memorial Park, Glendale, Ca.
