Was a salesman for Steinerts (Musical Instruments, Pianos), moved to New Bedford (w/ sales position) that's how he met Catherine and later became manager of the Steinert store in Brockton.(Where Robert (Dad) was born. 10 mos later the stock market crashed. Moved back to N.Bedford in @@1933 and worked for water dept as a meter reader until 1944. Served in WWI in the Harvard Medical Corps in France and was an orderly. Was in Bologne France near coast.
