a. Note:   David Cravey Sr, son of Owen Cravey and Mary Hines, came to Burke County, GA with his mother and the rest of her children after the death of his father around 1795. He later moved to Telfair County, GA shortley after it's creation in 1807. David married Susannah Studstill, daughter of Hustis Studstill and Hardeman. David Cravey Sr lived and reared his family in Telfair (now Dodge) County about two miles south of Rhine near Walker's Store. He owned 500 acres of land, in addition to one lot of land in Cherokee County (40 acre gold lot) which he drew in 1832. At the time of his death, the lot in Cherokee County was valued at $100. In Telfair County, he owned lot numbers 284 and 344 and half of lot 317 in the 14th Land District. David Cravey Sr died intestate in Telfair County in 1848. His two oldest sons, John and David Jr were appointed by the Ordinary to administer the estate. John and David were named executors of the will of their uncle William. John and David Jr were also named as executors of the estate of their mother, Susannah. The property of David Sr and Susannah was divided among their children.
