Notes
a. Note:   1881 census living with parents. Birth date of 1878 came from Attestation Papers Henry filled out and signed when he joined the Canadian over-seas Expenditionary Forces. Birth record from England shows date as June 28, 1879. LDS birth registration: 1879, 3rd quarter, Chertsey district, Volume 2a, page 55. LDS marriage registration: 1903, 4th quarter, Brentford district, Volume 3a, page 129. Burial: Grave: North, Section: T, Lot 198. Ref.#51325 & 53482. Henry worked as a blacksmith. He worked for Smith Bros on King St. Toronto on armoured cars. He died at Sunnybrook Hospital of cancer of the stomach. Henry and I presume his family also, was a lodger at 11 Belshaw Ave. in 1908. The homeowner was a George Gosden, also a blacksmith. In 1909 Henry was a homeowner at 197 Leslie St. and a Harry Gosden was a lodger at 119 Leslie St. They both worked for Smith Bros. In 1910 Henry was still at 197 Leslie St. Toronto and Harry was now a lodger at 197 Leslie. In 1913 Henry was a homeowner at 184 Gowan Avenue. (The street numbers have been re-numbered many times). It is very confusing between Henry and Harry, not knowing who Harry was. In 1922 Henry moved to 23 Westwood Avenue and lived here until he died. Henry was a shell maker in 1917-19. Edith Isabel (Rochester) Gosden was Henry's second wife. b: Wales Apr.21, 1876, d: East York Dec. 20, 1949. Interred Dec.23,1949. Pine Hills Cemetery, Sec.
