Note: Merchant at Millersburg Takes Life Funeral services were conducted at the late home today for Harry C. Marchand, aged 46, prominent Millersburg merchant, who committed suicide by hanging in the basement of his place of business Saturday night. Burial was made in a Millersburg cemetery. His body, suspended in the basement, was found by his brother, Earl Marchand, who was associated in business with his brother. Despondency over ill health was given as the motive. Marchand, who was active in community and civic affairs in Millersburg, was born and spent his entire life there. He and his brother have conducted a grocery in that city for the past three years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Methodist Episcopal church and the Hardy district school board, all of Millersburg, and the Nazir Grotto Lodge at Canton. He was also a member of the board of directors of the Millersburg chamber of commerce. The widow, four children Mary Louise, Virginia, William and Harry, Jr., all of the late home, one brother Earl and three [illegible] Mrs. Helen Z.
