a. Note:   nt to live with John Burden, that was James Crawford, John Riley and William Alonzo. Almine was older also. Caroline had a stroke before she died and was in a wheelchair. Byron made a special pair of crutches, her legs were bent back from the strroke. She was a Choctaw. Her father was Bill Burden, he died and left the siblings including Caroline to be raised by brother Hoseph Burden and wife Mary Mahuldy Burden. when Joseph died his wife took care of the kids. after caroline died he remarried and she was so mean the boys went to live with John Burden, their uncle.
