a. Note:   Services for Mrs. Melissa Delpha Burns 82, of 1001 Morris street, Denton were to be held in the Antioch Baptist Church at 2PM today, Rev. C. M. Thomas was to officiate, assisted by Rev Denver Amos, Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church. Buriel was to have been in the belew Cemetary. She died in her home in Denton, Texas at 10AM Monday after suffering a stroke. She had been ill for the past two or three weeks. Mrs Burns was Born in Cook County, Texas, February 17, 1867 and was a member of the Baptist Church. Her Husband Andy Burns died in 1926. Survivors are: Three sons...Osa and Amos Burns of Denton Texas....Edwin Burns of Port Arthur Texas... Two daughters: Mrs. Thelma Ruff of Denton...Mrs. L. B. Scroggins of Hause, New Mexico.... Two sisters: Mrs. Lizzie Jones of Aubrey Texas....Mrs. Effie Nix of Nocano. Three Brothers: Joe Yarbrough of Gainsville tx...Frank and Will Yarbrough of Aubrey Tx 33 Grandchildren...40 Great Grandchildren....Pallbearers were: Guy Jones...Earl Jones...Jim Yarbrough...
