Note: The Family of Caroline was: Grandfather: William Burden Born In Shelbyville, Tenn 1790-1795. He Married Polly Jones in Bedford County Tenn 1813. Pollie was Born 1797 Dublin, North Carolina. Polly Died: April 1864 in Bloomfield Texas at 66 Years of age. they had the following Children: 1. Bill Burden Born 1822 in Tenn 2. Joseph Burden Born 1823 Shelbyville Tenn 3. Nellie Ellen Born: 1828 In Missouri 4. Nancy E Born: 1835 In Missouri 5. Reason Jones Born Oct 1813 Tenn He died Mar 4 1895 (He was the illegimate son of Pollie) The genealogy for Reason and Robert will be found in the file also. There is info that Jane Jacobs Armstrong tells that This is the way it goes: Robert Jones- My GGGrandfather Pollie Jones (Later Burden) My GGGrandmother Reason Jones- My GGrandfather Sally Josephine Jones (Later Jacobs) My Grandmother Scott Jacobs- My Father Jane Jacobs Armstrong. The place that Reason Jones homesteaded on 1850 or 51. It is in the SE Part of Cook cnty. I live there now. The two story log house that he built in 1854 is still on the place. full of Hay and copperheads. My father was not born in the house but on the farm. three uncles and an aunt were born in the log house. Twelve years ago in 1988 this place was in the Pilot Point Post Office. then with the New Ray Roberts a new lake, we were cut off from pilot point and became Valley view. the address has been changed four times. the cemetary is about two miles from me. I usually put a single flower on Pollies grave twice a year. also somewhere in my pictures is her grave before the Jones cemetary was moved. A large cedar tree grew up nest to her stone and it made it so dark that the stone couldn't be read. the old cemetary was terribly neglected. I only went there when the temperatures was near freezing. I have this thing about snakes.
Father: Bill Burden was Born 1822 in Tenn . Died: 1887 in Cook County Texas He was 23 when he had Caroline in Missouri 1845. When Bill died then His brother Joseph Burden took all the kids and raised them till grown. Bill Burdens wife the mother of Caroline died at the age of 60 of Pneumonia. Have the genealogy for Pollie Jones. Pollie was the Grandmother of Caroline, the mother of Bill Burden.
Robert Jones is the Great Grandfather to caroline. His wife was Mary ann they were from Hayward County Nc.
Nathaniel Burden was Brother to William Burden Sr, His wife was Sarah, they had a daughter Sarah that married John Daniel Yarbrough in 1867.
On the 1860 Census in Texas there was: These were Siblings of Caroline, Kids of Bill Burden. Elizabeth Burden Born: 1843 Caroline Burden Born: 1844 John Burden Born: 1846
