Note:   ee Yarbrough, aged 95 years and 6 months and 4 days, died last Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs Vira Hampton. she was Born June 04, 1855 in Denton County, Texas. where she grew to womanhood. and married John Burden. the Burden family first came to Indian territory in 1892 and lived a year near what is now wynnewood Oklahoma. they returned to Texas and resided on a farm for five years, and they returned to the territory in 1898, and settled near Holder. they came to weeletka community in 1909 from Mccomb and have resided here since. Survivors are five sons: Lee...Jack...Jim...Richard...and Johnny Burden all of weeletka and two daughters Mrs. Vira Hampton and Mrs. Lulu Gibson both of weeletka: 37 Grandchildren and 65 Great Grandchildren and 15 GGGrandchildren. there were 14 children in the family, seven having previously died. she was a member of the Free will Baptist Church. Her stories of pioneer life in Texas and Indian Territory were of great interest to the younger generation. Funeral Services were conducted by Rev and Mrs. Gene Davis in the First Christian Church Saturday Afternoon at 2:30 and the interment made in the Hillcrest Cemetary under direction of the weeletka Funeral Home.
