Note: the mail on a Rural Route in Cook County. It was in Leo that he met Ola, after their marriage they moved to Wilbarger county where Ola's parents lived. Thomas worked in the oil fields at Burkburnett for awhile, then started farming in the Harrold community. In 1933 the couple moved to the Smith Farm two miles East of Harrold and remained there until their retirement. Despite the depression years they were happy. the Girls helped with the farm work as was the custom at that time. The home was the center for teenage parties, adult Domino games and family gatherings. In 1963 Thomas retired due to poor health, he and Ola moved to dallas area to be near their children. they built a house in Desoto South of Dallas. They enjoyed their few short years of retirement. Thomas died of Cancer, Ola died seven months later with Hidgekins disease. Found in the Cook county History Book.
