Note: 1850 Edward resided LeRoy, Dodge Co., WI 1860 - 1880 - resided Lincoln, Adams Co., WI 1885 - 1910 resided New Haven, Olmsted Co., MN Edward and Mary adopted Mary Riley, born Jul 1884. Edward's Civil War Pension Record - stated he died from a cold and senility. At time of enlistment resided at Spring Bluff, Adams Co., WI. Marriage to Mary was by Simeon Phelps. Darius S. Boyd signed an affidavit that he knew Edward in WI and MN, dated 1893. Edward's death certificate included in pension record. Death certificate - Mary lists father as Barney Boyd and mother as "(blank) Phelps". Died from Cerebral hemorrhage and chronic nephritis. nephritis is disease of the kidneys, characterized by inflammation, degeneration. Obituary for Mary in Post and Record Newspaper dated 20 Mary 1908. Buried at Douglas Cemetery. Obituary for Edward in Post Bulletin dated 19 Feb. 1926. Buried at Douglas Cemetery.
