a. Note:   Louisa came from a German Jew Descent. She was in a large company of emigrants who reached the Salt Lake Valley in 1847. She came in company with her sister Sarah Jane. Some where along the way she married Edwin Calkin. He was killed by Indians on his way home after being released from the service. After her marriage to Asaph, they lived in Farmington, Utah and some of their children were born there. After Asaph's marriage to Mary Busenbark, he and Louisa and Mary all moved to North Ogden for a few years, then they all moved to Providence, Utah several years later and then 10 years after that they all moved to St. George, Utah or Dixie Land as it was called. Then many years later they all went to Panaca, Nevada. This is where Lousi died, and was buried by her husband and was followd by her sister, Asaph's 2nd wife.
