Note: Sailed April 19, 1856 on the Samuel Curling ship, and landed May 5, 1856 at Boston. She and her two children then rode 1300 miles in a cattle car to Des Moines, Iowa. From their her and her children pulled handcarts all the way to Utah. She became the housekeeper and Nanny of Ira's children who lost his wife earlier. Ira and Elizabeth were soon married.
