Notes
a. Note:   Henry was born in Rochester, MN according to his obituary. Yet, our research has found no birth record for him in Olmsted, Goodhue, or Wabasha Counties. Unfortunately, no records were required back then. Henry moved his family from Goodhue County, in the fall of 1911, when his son Arnold was six weeks old to the John Searles farm. This 240-acre farm was located at the west side of Chester Township in section # 33. today, located at the north side of US HWY # 60, and just west of Wabasha County # 7 north. His main occupation was a crop farmer. In addition, he raised cows, sheep, pigs, and chickens. Henry was planning on purchasing the Fred Kuehl farmstead 1/2 mile up the hill to the east when he got sick and died. Afterwards, Louise went ahead with the purchase for her family. This property is currently owned by Duane Windhorst. It is located at the intersection of US HWY # 60 & Wabasha County # 3, in section # 34 of Chester Township. Louise moved in 1936 when Lavern married to Zumbrota for a short time. Then, to Mazeppa to the little house across from the school and kiddie corner to the park. This park had a lot of room for the children to play, and for many family gatherings.
