Note: Dec 10, 1919. Mrs. Vinton Bird. Mrs. Vinton Bird, nee Dora Schreyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Schreyer, who reside on South Broadway, passed away at a Worthington hospital, Thursday evening at 8:30 o'clock. Death was due to pleurisy and followed a brief illness. Deceased was born in New Ulm, September 2, 1897, and was, therefore, butt 22 years old at the time of her demise. She was married at Mankato, June 22, 1918 to the surviving husband, who at that time was employed as Linotype operator in the Springfield Advance printing office. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Bird removed to Worthington, where the former secured similar employment with one of the newspapers. Aside from her sorrowing husband and parents, deceased leaves an infant daughter, born November 24, last, and a brother, Goe. Schreyer, of this city. The remains were brought to New Ulm Friday night and funeral services were held at the home and at the Ev. Friedens Church, Sunday afternoon internment being in the City cemetery. Among the out-of-town relatives and friends, who attended the obsequies were: Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Feder and children, Madelia; Mrs. Geo. Borth, Fairfax; Mrs. Mabel Gilette, Marshall; Mrs. Bird and daughter, Florence, Springfield, and Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Buzette, Mankato.
