a. Note:   Journal, May 24, 1945. Mrs. Gustav Schwanke Final rites for Mrs, Gustav Schwanke, 80, who died at the home of her son, Henry, in St. Clair, Blue Earth county, may 15, at 7:45, was conducted in the Evangelical Lutheran church, Friday at 2:30 p.m. Mrs. Schwanke, Ida Schreyer who was well known in New Ulm was born in Brown county, March 1865. Her marriage to Gustav Schwanke took place in New Ulm, Nov 4, 1894. after their marriage the couple made their home on a farm at Waseca for several years, and then turned to New Ulm to reside on a farm. Later they moved to a farm at St. Clair, which has since been their home. Mr Schwanke died Jan. 31, 19 at the age of 73. The following children survive: Mrs. Holgar Anderson, St. Peter; Mrs. Corba Bobbitt, Eagle lake; Mrs. Oscar Burtness, Stillwater; mrs. Henry Hoffmann, New Ulm; and Henry Schwanke, St. Clair, and Aaron Schwanke, Claremont. Two sisters and two brothers also survive. mrs. August Feder, Madelia, and Mrs. Ad. Falk, and Carl and John Schreyer, New Ulm. Besides a large attendance form St. Clair, those from out of town who attended the funeral from New Ulm were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Falk and family, Mr. and Mrs Gervin St?low, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schulz, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Schreyer, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hoffmann, Mrs. Adolph Falk, Mrs. Otto Schreyer, and Ruben, Mrs. John Triff and Howard Hoffmann. others from out of town included: Mr. and Mrs. Holgar Anderson, Mr. and Mrs Ad. Glaser, St. Peter; Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Schwanke and family, Claremont; Mrs. Arthur Mock, Mankato; Mr. and Mrs Carl Feder and family, Mrs. August Feder and Eddie, and Jo? Feder , all of Madelia; Mrs Walter Gleffe, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs, Oscar Burtness, Stillwater; Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Burtness and mother, New Richland; Mr. and Mrs Frank Sademann and family, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sademann and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Glaser, St Clair; Mrs. F.
