Edith lived in Emmetsburg, Palo Alto Co., IA at the time of their marriage. The familysearch.org site has much info on Edith Williams of Rock Creek, WY, but she's not our Edith. The Stephen Williams & Belle Gordon we found may or may not be related, the 1880 census shows one child, 4-year old Rena. In the 1895 Emmetsburg City, Ward 1 Census there is a 17-year-old Edith Barton living with the Scott family (possibly the Scott family who took in orphans), birth place Palo Alto Co., and an Eltina Barton living with the LaBar family, same age, different birth place and religion. There are several Bartons and St. Clairs in Benton & Linn Cos. in IA. We're still searching.
