a. Note:   Ship steward: some trips to America and West Indies. Presbyterian. m 6-21-1833 Greenock, Scotland by S. Sinclair. Wife and two small children accompanied him to America on his last voyage. Resided originally in Clinton Co. PA. Naturalized citizen 2-14-1844; certificate showed $0.50 paid. Moved to Westmoreland Co., PA in 1845; occupation foreman in brickmaking plant. Moved to near St. John, Putnam Co. (then Dodge Co.), MO (since June 20, 1851). Occupation: brickmaking and farming. Enlisted in 18th Missouri Volunteer Infantry in 1861 at age 56 as Wagon Master; his son David was Captain. In 1863 they were camped at Chewalla, TN and were visited there by wife Isabella for six weeks. Appointed to County Court in 1866 serving until 1872. Republicans. Died from a horse riding accident when the girth of the saddle broke. History compiled and published in booklet form, "History of Thomas and Isabella Pollock and Descendants," by Ora Pollock Miller for the 6th Annual Pollock Reunion in Unionville, MO in 1955.
