Note: Grandma Moore is what all her great-grandkids called her. She wore one of those hearing aids that had wires running from her ears down to her bosom, where she kept the main part in her bra. She would often turn the thing off and just ignore all of us who were hollering as loud as we could to get her attention. It seemed that when she wanted to, she could hear a whisper from a mile away. She was short (5'0"?) and kind of stooped over a little. She wore those hose stockings that rolled up to just below the knees.
