Tillie was a 1/2 Blood CHEROKEE INDIAN and that information is listed on her delayed Certified Birth Certificate from Oklahoma, as well as on her Washington State, Certified Death Certificate. She was very happy to have her lineage researched by her family and was very proud of her Ancestry, both of the Native American Indian and the White. She was proud to learn that two of her Great Grandfathers were Revolutionary War Soldiers, and that one of her Great Grandfathers was a soldier in the War of 1812. All of this information had been documented and her family has copies of the Revolutionary War Pension Papers for the 2nd Great Grandfathers, and a copy of the Pension Papers that her Great Grandmother drew as a Widow of Titus GRAGG, who fought in the War of 1812. These Pension Papers are official records obtained from the, National Archives in Washington, DC. Tillie's Cherokee name was, "SWEET VIOLET."
