Notes
a. Note:   Rosetta Scanlan's funeral was at the home of her son-in-law, William Stokes, at 121 S. Sixth St., Philadelphia. It appears to me that this would have been in what is now Independence Hall park.
1846 Philadelphia City Directory: Scanlon Rosetta Mrs. Bridge, (M village). B. Hoff Knight, genealogist, writes, "M village could have meant Mantua, Manayunk or Moyamensing, all later incorporated in the city proper, but the "Bridge" has me puzzled. There was no street of that name at the time.
