Note: Mom was a fun person who loved to dance. She could play piano and guitar, and could listen to a song on the radio once and pick it outon the piano immediately. She was very well-loved in the community, would take the down-and-out under her wing (especially children),and was loved by many. People who were affected by her generositycome up to me to this day and tell me wonderful and funny stories about her. :) She worked for the VA for 37 years, originally at Aberdeen Proving Ground, eventually transferring to Coatesville when she married myfather. She retired in 1982. Her birth certificate LOOKS LIKE her birthdate was May 11, not May 14, and has been recorded incorrectly elsewhere. I have a photo of the original handwritten record, and it is definitely 14. It also has her name spelled as Mathilda, which I do think is correct. Mom liked names that were French and put the E on the end of Ann herself.
