Notes
a. Note:   ch at her house on 76th and hear her stories, much to the dismay of the sisters, as they would have to send someone over to her house to fetch the children back to school. Information found in church records in Vaudreuil, Quebec, Canada. The records show Grandma Roy as having the name Julia Marie Legault, and a younger sister who died at an early age as being named Eugenie. Grandmother Roy used the name Eugenie even though it was not her real name. Grandmother Roy said she was adopted by a Mr. Deslauriers, but according to church records the name Legault was also called Deslauriers-Legault. I think grandma may have been confused by the double name, although she had a brother who called himself Arthur Deloria who at one time lived in Montana. I found no record or him. Grandma lived near the Nation River in Canada and was said to be a cousin of Mrs Dionne, who was the mother of the famous Dionne quints. They did live close to each other and the only connection I found is where a Dion married a Legault. At this writing I don not know if this is how they ere related.
Note:   By Marie (Roy) Wilder: Julia Marie Legault Roy was a great story teller. She had a jolly manner about her and all the school children from Ascension School [7507 SE Yamhill, Portland] loved to eat lun
