Note: Catherine was known as "Kitty Ann". Kitty was active in the Eastern Star organization. She went through all the chairs and served as Worthy Matron. According to her death certificate, Catherine was living at 141 Washington Avenue, Petal, Forrest Cty, MS with her son Bernard Augusta (B. A.) at the time of her death. Catherine was 78. She was taken to Methodist Hosptial in Hattiesburg, MS on March 4, 196.1. She died of heart failure at 5:15 p.m. on March 7, 1961. Her attending physican was John H. James of Petal, MS, who had been treating her since February 9, 1959. She lay in state at Daws Funeral Home, Philadelphia, MS and was buried at Bethel Cemetery, Oktibbeha Cty, MS.[Dye.FTW] Bethel Cemetery is located near the Oktibbeha and Choctaw Cty lines (T 17N, R 12 E, S 32), southwest of Sturgis.
