Note: N262 Vincent served as a captain in the Union Army during the Civil War. In the 1880 census his occupation is listed as lawyer and farmer. Dale Kent Meyers has Vincent Meyers' Civil War sword. Per Dale it is inscribed: "Presented to Capt. Vincent Meyers by the members of Co. C. 1st Regt. Tenn. Light Artillery August 9, 1864."
