Note: N326 From Leon Meyers: "Francis is a farmer in 1920. Living in Tazewell, Tenn. in 1938. Buried in Drummond Cemetery, Claiborne County, Tennessee. Tombstone shows 1950 death date. Certified death certificate shows date of death as 2-22-51, burial 2-23-51 in Meyers Grove, Claiborne County, Tenn. Apparently the tombstone is incorrect on the death year. Death occurred in Middlesboro Hospital, Middlesboro, Bell County, Kentucky, however, usual residence at the time was New Tazewell, Claiborne County, Tennessee. Death certificate shows name name as 'Francis Marion Meyers'. Text of Obituary from Connie Guy: 'Francis Marion Meyers, age 78 passed away 2-22-1951. He was married to Martha Edwine Cupp in 1893. To this union was born three children. He professed faith in Christ in early life and united with the Missionary Baptist and lived a faithful member until his death. Survivors: Wife, Mrs Edwine Meyers, New Tazewell, TN, sons, Charlie Meyers, Knoxville, TN, Linvel Meyers, Monroe, MI, daughter, Mrs Chester Minton, New Tazewell, TN, sisters, Mrs T. R. Poore, Mrs. M. V. Honeycutt, Middlesboro, KY, Mrs. Lucy Robbins, Fountain City, TN, 12 grandchildren. Funeral Services were held at 2:00 P. M., Friday, at the Meyers' Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Lonnie Dunsmore, Rev Leonard White, and Rev. Herman Phelps officiating. Interment in the Drummonds Cemetery. Coffey-Stubblefield Funeral Home in charge."
