Note: N16 Ruth used to be a Patient Service Representative at Albany Medical Center, and met Ted there. Obituary: Brunswick, NY Ruth E. Klenk Dralle Boughton, 78, of McChesney Avenue Extension, died Friday, August 18, 2006 at Eddy Memorial Geriatric Center in Troy after a long illness. Born in Fort Lee, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Klenk and Julia (Braddock) Klenk and wife for 36 years of Edward Ted H. Boughton. She was raised in Ravena, resided in Coxsackie for a few years and in Eagle Mills for over 35 years, also residing in Tryon, N.C., for 10 years. They summered at Forest Lake in Grafton for many years. She was educated at Ravena-Coeymans High School and State Teachers College. As a youth, she was active as a cheerleader and lifeguard and she enjoyed riding her bicycle from Watervliet to Albany on the bike path. Mrs. Boughton was employed as a New York Telephone Company operator for several years and later was patient representative for Albany Medical Center Hospital in the business office for 12 years, retiring in the early 1980’s She was a member of Business and Professional Women, Ilium Literary Club and a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Brunswick. She volunteered with the Albany Medical Center Auxillary for many years and delivered Meals-On-Wheels. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include two daughters, Linda B. Shuping (Paul) of Madison, VA. and Gail B. Evans (John) of Ada, Mich.; three sons, Scott A. Dralle (Carol) of Petersburg, Va., Douglas G. Boughton (Barbara) of Taborton and Geoffrey M. Boughton (Lauren) of West Simsbury, Conn.; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Klenk and a sister, Florence Reilly. She was the niece of heavy weight champion, James J. Braddock, The Cinderella Man. Funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Brunswick Church, 42 White Church Lane, Brunswick with Rev. Harry J. Heintz, pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryce Funeral Home Inc., 276 Pawling Avenue, Troy, Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Interment, Brookside Cemetery, behind Brunswick Church in Brunswick, on Monday, August 28, at 10 a.m. Contributions may be made in memory of Ruth Boughton to the Brunswick Church New Worship Center Fund, 42 White Church Lane, Troy, NY 12180 or Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, Oakland Avenue, Menands, NY 12204.
