a. Note:   OBIT - Annie Topper passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Thompson, on Monday, May 30th, at the age of 69 years, 8 months, and 10 days. She was born September 20, 1886, at Blanchardville, Wisconsin, to Gilbert and Caroline Gilbertson. She was baptized in York Lutheran Church and confirmed at Berry Lutheran. On February 14, 1954 she joined the Chetek Lutheran Church. She was married to Theodore Topper on September 20, 1907. To this union 9 children were born: Gilman of Barron, Wisconsin; Mildred (Mrs. Kenneth Thompson) New Auburn; Hazel (Mrs. Herman Thompson) of Gilman, Wisconsin; Esther (Mrs. Lyle Siver) of Westmoreland, California; Ruth (Mrs. William Larson) of Menomonie, Wisconsin; Donald of Withee, Wisconsin; and Clifford and Marvin of Chetek. One daughter preceded her in death. Mr. Topper passed away February 26, 1937. She leaves to mourn her passing two brothers, Ole and Otto Gilbertson, both of Blue Mounds, Wisconsin; two sisters, Emma (Mrs. Ole Swingen) of Black Earth, Wisconsin, and Lena ( Mrs. Carl Radel) of Brooklyn, Wisconsin. She also leaves 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held from the Chetck Lutheran Church Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m., Rev. W. R. Huseby officiating. Burial was in Lake View Cemetery.
